Rolando is a former Director of the EBH Program.  He sent the following message:

Rolando A. Guerrero V.

My prayer is that the tranquility of our Lord Jesus Christ and his peace governs always your hearts.  I humbly inform you of the progress of the work of the church at Jicaro Gordo and Olancho.

During the month of September we had 3 baptisms, 4 confessions, 2 I reconcilation.  Those baptized were :  Roxana Molina (My daughter)   Blanca Valdez & Fany Flores.

On September 27-30  we held a campaign of personal evangelism where we went house by house and we were able to establish 20 Bible studies. During the 30 days of participation in evangelism the students of the III year of the Honduras Bible School helped out alot.  Brother Joshua Anariba a 3rd year student preached on the first night and the brother Jorge Vargas preached on the second night.  The subject was:  So… you do not have time for God?  We had an attendance average of 120 personas. It was all a great success.

In La Union , Olancho brother Alcides Ortiz continues to remain dedicated to the proclamation of the Gospel. He travels from home to home obtaining many studies with different people. He works alot with Biblical courses, such as the Christian life, What the Bible says, the Church of Christ, among others.  The 8th, 9th, and 10th myself and 3 teachers of EBH. And 6 students of I and III traveled to Pacura, San Estevan. We knocked on doors establishing several contacts The students are being developed very well in how to do personal evangelism and how to present the Gospel.  2 students of Third year preached the two nights of campaign, Santiago Bonilla and Joshua Anariba.

The attendance to the campaign average about 150 people per night. On the 10th of Sept. We were reunited with the brothers in Gualaco who had invited to me to preach. And I preached about the subject:  “Learning to construct and to take care of of the Church”. The attendance there was about 90 brothers.

On days 16 & 17 of September myself and Jorge Vargas traveled to Las Delicias de Cuyamel, where we presented  a seminar to the congregation with the subject: How to be a true Christian.  We had an attendance of 35 people and friends in this day. Two youngsters decided to be baptized.  On the 17th  brothers of the area of the mountains held a meeting in the congregation of the Las Cabas, Jorge Vargas made a call to the church which was very well received by all those present which were over 150 brothers from 5 smaller mountian congregations.  At the end of this meeting Jorge met with the young people to motivate them and to plan activities with them, Marlon met with the leaders to present the new plan of the Honduras Bible School. And we discussed the participation of their congregations and students which responded by far with much joy.  They had yearned for this to take place therefore it is a good ministry for the school and the church.

We have formed a fortifying team to you lead these efforts it is made up of  Eliseo Velasquez, Marlon Molina and Jorge Vargas.  Our intention is to fortify the local leadership through seminars & to visit EBH students in order to know that they are actively serving in the Church. To help in the ministry of young people, children and ladies in the congregations that we have visited and to issue a call for them to wake up spiritually.

Several seminars for students of EBH were done during this month of September.  Federico  Sanchez of Irst year student and Sister Isabel gave Spanish Language to students of I and II year in Catacamas and Gualaco and Trujillo   Santos Corrals taught on the 23rd - 24th and I taught  the students of year 1.  David Chacon taught year I and II Classes about the History of the Church. On the 29th and 30th, Walter Antunez and  I taught music to students of the 2nd year.  On the 30th of September brother Alexander Oliverios and I taught the subject  of ministerial Psychology to students of the 3rd year.

During the month of September 2006 the campaigns and church visits yeilded the following:

  • Baptisms = 11
  • Reconciliations = 2
  • Biblical studies = 35
  • Delivery of Biblical courses = 5

Please always include us in your prayers and know that we are very thankful to each one of you for the aid you provide to the Lord’s work in Honduras.

 God bless each of you,

Your brother in Christ:   Marlon Molina
